Cannes' 70th film festival draws to a close Sunday evening, when the winners of prestigious prizes including the Palme d'Or will be announced during the closing awards ceremony.

The movie is about a bank robber (Pattinson) who is unable to evade those who are tracking him down. As well as Robert Pattinson, Good Time also stars Barkhad Abdi, who was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Actor In A Supporting Role for his work in Captain Phillips, and Jennifer Jason Leigh, who was nominated for a Best Supporting Actress Oscar for her role in The Hateful Eight.

Adam Sandler and Robert Pattinson have wowed fans and critics in their respective films.

The FIPRESCI critics' jury also rewarded the debut Russian feature "Tesnota" by Kantemir Balagov and Portugal's "A Fabrica de Nada", about workers who take their factory apart rather than let their jobs go overseas, by Pedro Pinho. To which Robert further explained: "I would do an impression". According to The Hollywood Reporter, it received a six-minute standing ovation, with members of the audience whistling, cheering and yelling phrases like, "Great job". The former "Twilight" heartthrob has viewers raving over his leading role in the crime thriller "Good Time", with Sandler earning awards buzz for the family comedy "The Meyerowitz Stories".

It comes after Robert admitted he is a "manic" person.

He said previously: "I was so nervous about people finding out about the shoot and paparazzi being there just destroying the whole illusion of it". We experimented with looks and we did these pockmarks on my skin and no one recognised me.

"It's insane. I have never been on a shoot where not a single cellphone picture (was taken) on the entire shoot".

Renowned director Park Chan Wook, who is now attending the 70th annual Cannes Film Festival, recently spoke up in an interview on what he thinks about the future of Korean cinema.
