Trump suggests he might drop daily press briefings

During the transition, Trump's advisers floated the idea of moving the media from the White House to the nearby Executive Office Building to accommodate media interest.

President Donald Trump has grown increasingly enraged by the FBI's investigation into possible collusion between his campaign and Russian officials, helping spur him to fire FBI Director James Comey on Tuesday evening, several White House aides told Politico.

But even when he came out, Mr Spicer delivered a cringe-worthy performance, failing to offer a clear timetable or rationale for Mr Trump's abrupt decision to can Mr Comey.

Sanders denied reports that Trump had put Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein up to recommending the firing, which caught Washington by surprise Tuesday evening.

"Sarah Huckabee is a lovely young woman", he told Pirro.

Trump's tweets appear to provide an answer to that question.

"Maybe the best thing to do would be to cancel all future "press briefings" and hand out written responses for the sake of accuracy", Trump said in another tweet to his more than 28.8 million followers on this popular social media site.

Spicer said Trump's tweet cautioning Comey about potential tapes of their conversations was "not a threat", either. So it is important to have these, but it's important to have press briefings where they're basing what they're saying in facts and truth.

"It seems to me that you're playing a very unsafe game with the currency of the credibility of the President of the United States". "You can not stop the men and women of the FBI from doing the right thing, ' McCabe says on if Comey's firing disrupted ongoing investigations - CBS News (@CBSNews) May 11, 2017 McCabe had barely been in his seat for a few minutes when the top Democrat on the Intelligence Committee, Sen".

The point is that the press briefings are on the record. But now, it's time to add one more: Sean Spicer.

"We see time and time again an attempt to parse every little word and make it a game of gotcha as opposed to trying to figure out what the policies are", Spicer said.

White House briefings and press conferences provide substantive and symbolic opportunities for journalists to pose questions to officials at the highest levels of the United States government, he said.

The associate with knowledge of the conversation says Friday that an account of the conversation in the New York Times is accurate.

By midday on Wednesday hundreds of demonstrators had gathered in protest in front of the White House.
