"Why was there no outrage for the killing of an Arab and a Muslim in such a cruel way?" she asked. Despite an outward show of defiance and unity, with thousands of people attending vigils, Manchester's residents remain anxious as police rush to round up the network behind bomber Salman Abedi.

British police said the area was being evacuated as a precaution.

A street has been sealed off as police continue to search a property in Wigan amid reports that a bomb disposal unit was called to the scene.

The president criticised the leaks and vowed to investigate.

U.S. President Donald Trump attempted to calm tensions between the U.S. its ally the United Kingdom following the leak of sensitive information to the American media pertaining to the investigation.

According to the Guardian, Prime Minister Theresa May will confront US President Donald Trump over the stream of leaks of crucial intelligence when the pair meet Thursday at the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation summit meeting in Brussels.

But she said "part of that trust is knowing that intelligence can be shared confidently".

Trump on Thursday pledged to "get to the bottom" of leaks of sensitive information, calling the leaks "deeply troubling". British officials were infuriated on Wednesday when the New York Times published forensic photographs of sophisticated bomb parts that United Kingdom authorities fear could complicate the investigation into what they now believe to be a terrorist network.

"The images and information presented were neither graphic nor disrespectful of victims, and consistent with the common line of reporting on weapons used in horrific crimes", the paper said.

"They never gave us any problems".

Police are hunting for a possible bomb-maker after the 22-year-old attacker, British-born Salman Abedi, detonated a sophisticated device at a concert venue packed with children. Abedi's father Ramadan was allegedly a member of the al-Qaida-backed Libyan Islamic Fighting group in the 1990s - a claim he denies.

An emerging portrait of the bomber remained complicated by competing assessments over whether Abedi held views that had sparked concern before the bombing.

Wigan is 17 miles west of Manchester city centre.

"There was a sermon about anti-Daesh (IS) and he stood up and started calling the Imam - 'You are talking bollocks, '" Ramadan said.
